Dandeli Jungle Camp

Activity & Wildlife Disclaimer

Last reviewed: 2026.

Wildlife sightings are never guaranteed

This camp sits within a genuinely wild landscape in and around the Kali Tiger Reserve. No stay, package or guide can guarantee a sighting of any particular species — tiger, leopard, elephant, or otherwise. What you see on any given day depends on season, weather, time of day, habitat conditions and a fair amount of chance. Please come for the forest and the experience of being in it, and treat any specific sighting as a bonus rather than an expectation.

Third-party operated activities

Some activities offered during your stay — including river rafting, jungle safaris and certain excursions — may be operated by independent third-party operators rather than run directly by the camp. These operators follow their own safety briefings, equipment standards and operating rules, in addition to any guidance given by our staff. Please follow the instructions of whichever operator or guide is leading the activity at the time.

Water activities and river levels

Rafting, kayaking, coracle rides and other water activities depend on the Kali River's current water level and dam release schedule, both of which are managed independently of the camp and can change with the season. Availability, route length and difficulty may vary or be paused entirely for safety reasons, sometimes at short notice. We'll confirm what's realistic for your dates when you enquire, but water-activity availability can never be promised in advance.

Forest access and permissions

Treks, safaris and other forest-based activities are subject to forest department rules, permits and seasonal access restrictions. These authorities may pause, reroute or cancel access to specific trails or zones without notice, for conservation, safety or administrative reasons entirely outside our control. Where this affects a planned activity, we will suggest the best available alternative.

Participation at your own risk

Trekking, river activities and other adventure programs carry inherent physical risk, as they would anywhere in a forest or river setting. Guests take part at their own risk and should disclose any relevant medical conditions, injuries or mobility limitations to our team before an activity begins, so that guides can advise honestly on suitability. Please listen to your guide or program leader and stop or opt out of any activity that doesn't feel right for you.

Age, fitness and group requirements

Individual activities may carry their own minimum age, fitness level or minimum group size requirements, which are noted on each activity where they apply. See our Experiences page for details on individual activities, or ask our booking desk to confirm suitability for your group before you book.
